Do you know of a portable document scanner that don't need to be connected to a computer to scan a document In other words, I am looking for a gadget that after scanning the document it saves it in a temp memory in the scanner. Then you connect it to the computer to upload as a pdf or word doc.

I need to copy documents siting in my clients office.I think a small portable scanner will help me a lot.? will hand held scanners do this work.What I am looking for would be a small scanner which will scan(only documents-not more than 15 pages) and I can later connect it to PC and download the scanned documents.Preferably small and with adequate memory.Any recommendations?

What's a good portable scanner that feeds automatically and scans both sides of pages please? As title thanks. I am after a scanner that can take say 20 pages of documents at a time (more the better) and is able to feed itself and scan through the pages one after another (double sided). Hi, I'm looking for a portable scanner, printer thing. when I go some where for work, and I need paper documents transferred to the computer, or copied, then I can just use this device to do that. I'm sure I have seen this before, its kinda like the small kodak portable printer. But I also want the ability to copy, and scan documents. Any info about said device would be greatly appreciated. Hello, in my business I have to make house calls. For this I need a portable scanner, can you recommend one? This scanner needs to work without been connected to the computer. I need to be able to visit clients and scan their documents. The memory will temporaly save the scan until you upload it to your computer...does this exist for full documents like 8 x11 or 11x14...know of anything like this...please not the pen. thanks.

Is there such a thing as a wirelesss fax machine? I need to find a way to send documents from my semi truck; possibly look into a portable scanner-any suggestions? We are on the verizon phone network

PDF Writer required? I had a portable scanner, Travel Scan Pro (sadly no more, its gone to that scanner sanctuary in the sky) one of the programs that were in the bundle, was a PDF writer called Docket Scan (featuring Adobe Scan- to PDF). The little program had the facility to scan multiple pages (one after another of coarse) from the scanner directly in to a PDF document. However this program will not work with my new scanner. So what I am after is a program to do the same. I have found a free program on the net but it only converts previously scanned docs etc and converts them to PDF and does not have the facility to put more than one page in a PDF file Does anyone know of another program that has these functions an is free or not too expensive.
